Store kibble, meat food and wet food.
What is the best way to store kibble?
Always store dry food in a cool, dry place. You can simply put it in its original bag (close it tightly with tape or a clip), which you can place loosely in the feeder, or with the bag still in place. To minimize contact with air, moisture, and light—and thus preserve freshness and flavor—a smaller, airtight container or glass jar is ideal. Refill it occasionally from the large bag or barrel. Always use a feeding scoop. Most dry food lasts 12 to 18 months from the date of production. Important: never mix old and new kibble.
Meat food?
Our complete meat meals for dogs are best stored in a cool, dry place and served at room temperature. Pre-cut 800g sausages and 90g portion sausages are best kept sealed in the refrigerator. They will keep for about 3 days. You can also cut the meat food into portions and freeze them. To thaw, we recommend refrigerating the portions before serving. For a variety of options, see our other fresh meat/fish meal recipes.
And wet food?
Wet food can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 2 days after opening. Serve it at room temperature – cats don't like cold food. You can give our complete wet food meals as a full main meal, but also as a tasty alternative to kibble.
Always provide plenty of fresh drinking water.
